Responsibilities

As a director in the Governance, Risk and Compliance team, Heather’s role will primarily focus on Group Enterprise Risk Management framework, which includes a key role in the operation of the Risk Committee, and also management of the Group’s policy and procedure framework.

Heather joined from Sanne Group, where she was Risk Director for 6 years. Prior to that, Heather was a director in funds, having started out in real estate, where she gained extensive experience in client administration and accounting. Her career started in audit and assurance at Ernst & Young in Jersey, where she qualified with ICAEW before undertaking a secondment to the Geneva office.

Notable achievements

• Developed and implemented an Enterprise Risk Management framework to a FTSE 250 listed company and continued as part of the Risk Team responsible for further developing and enhancing the framework and reporting to the Risk Committee of the listed company
• Managed project to achieve ISAE 3402 accreditation, which included assessing and implementing relevant internal controls and co-ordinating the ISAE 3402 report
