To lead the financial accounting, reporting and control activities for Dubai, to ensure they are carried out efficiently, effectively and in line with best practice.

Summary:
You will be responsible for building and managing client referral partnerships, generating new business, converting leads, and supporting marketing strategies. The role also involves organizing events, developing new service lines, achieving sales targets, and assisting multinational clients with business setup in the UAE.Principal Accountabilities: -
Day to day responsibility for the management of the finance function in Dubai, with specific responsibilities across the following three areas:
1 - Management Information (MI)
- Prepare budget and forecasting information for submission to the CFO
- Detailed management of the cashflows including modelling and reporting
- Preparation of monthly MI packs for all Dubai entities ensuring that financial information is clear, accurate and meaningful for senior management
- Presentation in both written and verbal form to group management and investors as required; accuracy and fluency of English critical
- Oversee and develop systems and procedures to ensure that efficient and effective management of finances
2 - Financial control function
- Management of any team members, including workload and performance & development
- Work with department heads / senior management, primarily within Dubai, in order to understand business activities and budget pressures
- Manage adherence to approved budgets including specific oversight of business related travel and expenses spend
- Recommend changes that will improve financial performance and the financial control environment
- Oversight of local bolt on acquisitions from a financial perspective, contributing to the review of financial performance as required, preparing for and managing integration activities including data transfer and budgetary reviews
3 - Accounting, Audit and Tax
- Prepare statutory (IFRS & Local GAAP as required) financial statements for all Hong Kong and China entities
- Act as the main point of contact for external auditors, providing them with all required information
- Ensure accounting policies comply with the relevant accounting standards and that relevant group and local policies are followed
- Ensure that all information necessary for the tax returns is maintained, that filings are made in line with jurisdictional requirements and that tax payments are made in a punctual manner.
The type of person we are looking for:
- Expertise with general ledger accounting systems, as well as core MS Office applications (Excel, Powerpoint & Word) (critical)
- Fluent written and verbal English (critical)
- Accountanting qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/ICAS) (critical)
- Previous experience in a Financial controller/Finance Manager role (critical)
